This 1967 Alfa Romeo GTV Step Nose wears an attractive coat of Verde Inglese over a beautiful Cognac interior. It is a beautifully presented example of the classic Step Nose Alfa. It has recently been mechanically freshened and was then tested on a 1,000 mile rally. It was originally a California car, but was recently purchased from a long time owner of over 20 years in the Northeast. It has been set up for performance driving with a number of modifications and improvements.
This Alfa Romeo sits on Panasport racing wheels, lowering springs and wears a GTA style grille without bumpers. The motor was recently enhanced with a 15 hour port and polish job, larger valves, and hotter European cams. The Weber DCOE 40s were rebuilt and re-jetted, the readiator was refurbished. The car received a new water pump, alternator, front and rear seals, new tired, new brakes, 4 year old interior, and new carpets from Re-Originals were installed.
The motor is well turned, delivers good crisps power and has a terrific sound. Handling and steering feel is excellent, with the unmatched light and precise steering GTVs are knwon for. GTVs are some of our favorite driving vintage cars of any price range and this has to be one of the best set up examples we have driven.
